In 2014 within the halls of Smithtown High School West, two familiar faces connected during their exciting preparation for a class trip to Spain. Immediately, Matthew was drawn to Cameron and was thrilled to be spending all of this time with her. It took no time for the two to hit it off once the group landed in Madrid. Cameron came home buzzing from her time abroad— about more than just the paella. “I just really like being around him,” she claimed. Both of the pair's family and friends knew exactly what this meant and were rooting for the two to finally get together. After agreeing to take each other to their junior and senior proms just a few weeks later, the rest became history.

Over the next ten years, Cameron and Matt have created an extraordinary love story — one that those around them can feel is special. Cameron and Matt truly embody what it means to be someone’s better half. They continue to learn and grow with each other each day. Cameron and Matt’s love for each other remains unconditional. There was never a question about where this relationship was to lead — it was just a matter of time!

On a particularly memorable trip to the gorgeous country of Greece in September 2022, Matt officially asked Cameron to spend their lives together. With no surprise, Cameron happily accepted and the couple spent the rest of their trip celebrating their new engagement exploring the cities of Santorini, Naxos and Paros.
